Computer Aided Manufacturing
Advanced Steel Technologies can design and engineer parts & specifications accurately using our proprietary Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system, ensuring that each steel part is cut to the same exacting specifications and precise geometries. The part specifications are fiber optically downloaded from the Computer Aided Manufacturing system directly to the machines. This expedites production and increases reliability.
Our process implements the following steps
Review and validate process prior to implementation
Easily make edits to tool path or part design
For all CNC and Metal Cutting applications
Our CAM technology can be applied to our cutting, bending, beveling, welding and machining processes. We can handle plate steel that meets A36 and A572gr50 specifications and we also have the capability to handle special materials. Steel plate thickness spans to 4 inches and there are no limits on width or length of a steel part. We cut and fabricate steel components for varied applications and specifically for heavy machinery including Bulldozers, Material Handlers, Packers (asphalt/dirt), Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Backhoes, Fork Lifts, etc.
We have an inventory of fully automated loading machines, conveyors, magnetic cranes, robotic cutting, and unloading machines. We also offer finishing services like in-plant painting and flattening. We accept drawings from varied input formats including DWG, DXF (preferred), PDF, JPG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP.
Quality control begins on AST's production line, where precision measurements calculated during manufacturing guarantee high standards and we adhere to ISO 9001:2000 standards. AST employees measure and record customer specifications using the latest CMM technology and make sure that the customer receives the highest quality parts.
